In some cases, Devon Happy Campers will incur additional charges if the driver to be insured has a traffic conviction, is using a non-UK/EU driving license or is in an occupation which is deemed high risk. These charges will be passed on to the customers. Insurance Standard excess. The above rate includes a standard excess of GB£500. In the event of any damage to either the vehicle or third party property, the hirer will be liable for the first GB£500. The hirer will also be fully liable for replacement or repair of windscreen or tyre damage. Smoking: We have a no smoking policy in all our vehicles. Any damage caused by smoking will be paid for by the customer as will any extra valeting costs incurred by Devon Happy Campers as a result of smoking in the vehicle. Deposit There is a refundable GB£500.00 Security Deposit payable by cash, BACS or cheque, which must have cleared before departure. This is fully refundable on return of the vehicle to the agreed location, on the agreed date and time, in the same condition as it was let out to you, with the interior clean including all cooking appliances, equipment and the tank full of fuel. Extras 1. Sleeping bag/pillow £10.00 per person per rental. 2. Awning - free 3. Porta Potti free if returned clean. 4. Airbeds - £5 each. Drivers Age limits: 25 to 70 years included in standard insurance, any more than 2 minor 3 point convictions and 1 accident in the past 3 years may incur extra cost or refusal of insurance. 21 years to 24 years may be accepted by our insurer if holds a clean license but may incur extra cost – please enquire. Driver must have held a valid license for more than two years. Details of additional drivers required. Production of valid standard driver's license required from all drivers at start of hire. Drivers are personally liable for all legal penalties (e.g. parking tickets etc) which are incurred during the period of hire. Maximum of 3 drivers per rental Drivers must provide a separate form of identification to confirm address e.g. utilities bill less than 3 months old. Private vehicles left with Devon Happy Campers are done so at the risk of the vehicle owner. Payment Availability is on a request and confirm basis at the time of reservation. A reservation is only binding after it has been confirmed by Devon Happy Campers and a non-returnable deposit has been received. Settlement of the remaining balance will be due six weeks prior to departure. Payment is by cash, electronic transfer or cheque in Pounds Sterling. For late bookings (less than six weeks before departure) the full rental price is payable on booking. Vehicles will not be released without full payment being completed. Cheques will not be acceptable for late bookings (less than 2 weeks prior to departure). Cancellation Charges More than 6 weeks before rental start date: Booking Deposit (£100) Within 6 weeks of rental start date: 100% of total hire charge payable Please ensure you have your own holiday insurance in place to cover the costs if for any reason you have to cancel your reservation. Collection and Return Collection: 3pm is our earliest collection time. Please allow 1 hour for the hand-over on collection - to complete the documentation, to demonstrate your vehicle to you and to transfer your luggage to the camper. Please allow the same on your return. Return: Campers to be returned by 12 midday. The vehicle must be returned on the date, and at or before the time stated on the rental agreement. Vehicles must be returned clean and in the same condition as they leave, otherwise a charge will be made. Late return: If you will be late returning, the rental company must be advised immediately. Failure to advise may result in prosecution for driving whilst uninsured. An additional charge of £50 per hour will be payable for all late returns. |
